The route we are promoting expands the offerings and accessibility of the Selinunte Archaeological Park.

The tour proposes a visit to the Archaeological Site through a choice of alternative routes and promotes routes away from the pedestrian one.

The visitor, accompanied by cycle tour guide , will access the park from a dedicated entrance : passing through the olive grove behind Temple G, will come to the north side of the Park to visit the Galera Bagliazzo necropolis , will then be able to admire the north gate , ancient access to the Greek settlement (and latest discovery by archaeologists ), and then on to Tower of Manuzza and reach the Acropolis .

For those who like to "pedal" is provided. A more extensive version of the route which also includes the area of Malophoros-Gaggera (as per the attached map).

The authorized route has a length of about 15 km and winds within the archaeological area, with Scheduled stops near places of monumental/archaeological interest For walking tour of the areas.

Method of conducting the activity

The excursion will have the duration of about three hours , with the possibility of variation based on the choice of itinerary (as per the attached map).
Over the course of the day, the following programming is permitted maximum two excursions divided into :

• antimeridian shift (9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.)
• afternoon shift (from 4 p.m. to park closure).

Each excursion may have a maximum number of twenty participants in order to ensure safety, optimal management of the activity, and to allow each tourist to enjoy the experience to the fullest.
The tour is allowed on Tuesdays and Thursdays , respecting the time slots already indicated, April 1 to October 31 each year.

The user will be able to experience both by mountain bike than by e-bike , and you can also use your own vehicle as long as the bike meets the requirements and compliance required by current regulations.
Should only the guide be used, the rental cost will be deducted.

The activity is also allowed on days other than the scheduled days, but in the same time slots indicated above, if it involves organized groups in the area; however, reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance.

Cost of service

The cost of the service is €80 per person , cost including:

• the opening of the gate
• each participant's ticket (€14 per person )
• the mandatory cycle tour guide in the indicated route
• a contribution for transfert to and from the facility (If you reach the site by your own means you will also deduct the transfer, approx. €20 ).
